Yesterday, Not Such a Great Day!

Well, currently, I am in a cardboard prison of term projects... but just feeling extremely stressed... for all of the Catholics out there, do you ever feel like you are simply not doing enough? That is what is going on in my mind and in my heart right now... Additionally, since I am teaching all day, when I get home, I can't just spend the time just holding Jack because we need to get groceries, need to read the mail, need to put away clothes, jack needs to eat... there is not a lot of time just to BE TOGETHER!!! That is hard... Anyways, just feeling a little down... but Praise and Thanks be to God that I am not the one leading my life, the Good Lord is... :)

  1. Hi Heather!
You are doing your best, and that is enough! That is all that anyone, including yourself, can ask of you! :) You are absolutely a phenomenal woman to be working full-time with a new baby--my admiration and prayers.

A friend of mine who is also a working mom swears by planning chores out so that they have certain days of the week for certain chores. Predictability means that you know that (other than dinner and dishes :) picking up clothes or laundry or scrubbing the bathtub will only be done on that day. Maybe doing that, along with some great husband-wife teamwork (which I'm sure you guys are already learning:), would help you get to spend more time with Jack.

I will pray for you! And I'm so happy for you that Jack slept through the night! I hope it lasts for you...Gabe slept 6 nights in a row like that but now has resumed multiple feedings during the night :).
